Itinerary

Viña Tarapaca

Viña Tarapacá, formerly called Viña de Rojas and Viña Zavala, is a Chilean vineyard and winery founded on Isla de Maipo by Francisco de Rojas y Salamanca, in 1874. It is a unique place, protected by nature, since it is surrounded by mountain ranges and the Maipo River. This is why our vineyard is known as Fundo Rosario Estate, “El Clos Natural del Valle del Maipo”. Clos is a French viticultural term used to describe a terroir surrounded by concrete walls built to preserve the vineyard. The tour begins at the emblematic Casona and guests are taken around the park and along the nature trail with native species, whilst learning about the history of Viña Tarapacá and the soils of the Tarapacá estate – where the finest Viña Tarapacá wines originate. Following this, there is a selected tasting of Gran Reserva Tarapacá Etiqueta Blanca wines: Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon and Gran Reserva Tarapacá Organic Wine
